#1 Alabama vs #2 Georgia CFB National Championship

After the first round of the college football playoffs we had are 2 teams in the CFB National Championship. After Georgia had an outstanding performance against Michigan beating them 34-11. Stetson Bennet threw for 313 yards and 3 touchdowns completing 20-30 of his passes. Michigan on the other side was very shut down on offense, their offense being held to only 3 points the whole game until a late 4th quarter touchdown in garbage time. Michigans quarterback JJ McCarthy only threw for 131 YDS, 1 touchdown, and completed 7-17 passes. Georgia's defense also had 1 fumble recovered and 2 interceptions with 4 sacks and 7 tackles for a loss. On the other side of the playoffs, Alabama played Cincinnati. Alabama was favored to win by a great amount the odds -13.5 in their favor according to Caesar's Sports Book. Alabama's defense dominated this game only allowing 144 passing yards and no touchdowns in the passing game or on the ground. Cincinnati's quarterback completed 17-32 of his passes. Cincinnati only scored 6 points on 2 field goals from Will Reichard. Alabama on the other hand did exceptionally, their offense was mainly set up in the running game. Brian Robison Jr. rushed for 204 yards with his longest rush being 23 yards. Alabama's quarterback was decent, Bryce Young the Heisman winning quarterback threw for 181 yards, 3 touchdowns but threw 1 interception, He completed 17-28 of his passes. Alabama ended up winning this matchup 27-6 but I think that they could have easily scored more. This National Championship matchup will be very fun to watch, 2 of the most talented teams in the last decade facing off for the 2nd time in 5 years in this big game. Georgia has the odds to win -3.0 but I think that the game will be very close. Georgia will have to make short passes because of Alabama's strong secondary. Alabama picked off Stetson Bennet 2 times in their last matchup returning 1 for a touchdown. I think that Georgia should make the run game their primary option, James Cook had a strong game against Michigan so they should keep him going. Alabama on the other side will have a hard time running the ball as they did vs Cincinnati because of how strong the Georgia defensive line is. Alabama will most likely take deep passes to their extremely talented receiver Jameson Williams. Last game against Georgia he went off for 7 receptions 184 yards and 2 touchdowns. Overall I am very excited for this game and am waiting for the game to come. The CFB National Championship will take place in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium ( The Colts Stadium ) on January 10th at 8 pm Est.
